PRESS RELEASE
(IMMEDIATE RELEASE)
The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that
the HOC-44 Bridge, located on the overpass of Broad Street on Memorial Drive at
Cinci Park, is being rehabilitated for approximately two months.
Construction on this bridge will take place beginning Monday, April 25,
2011. Phase 1 of this project will
close the southbound lanes of Memorial Drive between West Walnut Street and Old
Logan Road for approximately 30 days.
Once the southbound lanes have reopened to traffic, Phase 2 of this
project will close the northbound lanes of Memorial Drive at this location for
approximately 30 days. Detour routes

The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that
the following road in BLOOM TOWNSHIP will be closed for a drainage improvement
project.
Marcy Road (CR41) will be closed Monday, April 25, 2011 for
approximately one (1) week for a drainage improvement project.
This closure will be between Cedar Hill Road and Sitterley Road with
construction taking place between house number 10110 and Sitterley Road.
Once this closure reopens to traffic, construction will
continue between Cedar Hill Road and Sitterley Road for approximately eight (8)
additional weeks. Local traffic will
be maintained; however, the public should expect delays.

(IMMEDIATE RELEASE)
The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that
the following road in
Cherry Lane (TR245) will be closed Monday, April 25, 2011 for
approximately 11 weeks for a road rehabilitation project.
This closure will be between State Route 204 and Blacklick Road with
construction taking place between house number 12710 Cherry Lane and Blacklick
Road. Local traffic only will be
maintained; however, the public should expect delays.

Regulations for a rural
mailbox in
The County has a 60-foot
right-of-way for road maintenance purposes on most county roads (right-of-way is
intended for highway and utility work).
This is a 30-foot measurement in each direction from the road centerline.
Trees shall not be placed within this area.
Shrubs and flowers should not be placed within the road right-of-way as
well, for they can become a sight obstruction and could possibly be destroyed
during highway and utility work.
Landscaping timbers, boulders, fences, etc. as noted above also constitute a
road hazard. Many such hazards will
be addressed upon discovery or in conjunction with road improvement projects;
however, fences in place prior to the 1981 permit system will be required to be
relocated outside of the county road right-of-way upon need for their
replacement and/or repair. As with
past policy, no permits are issued for a new fence installation within the
right-of-way.
