PRESS RELEASE
(IMMEDIATE RELEASE)
The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that
the HOC-44 Bridge, located on the overpass of Broad Street on CR33A at Cinci
Park, is being rehabilitated throughout the month of August.
Construction on this bridge will take
place beginning Monday, August 2, 2010.
Lane closures will occur during this time and last approximately one week
per lane. Traffic will be
maintained; however, the public should expect delays.

the following road in
Pleasantville Road (CR17) will be closed Tuesday, July 27, 2010 and
Wednesday, July 28, 2010 for a culvert replacement.
This closure will be on

The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that the following road in VIOLET TOWNHIP will be closed for a profile improvement project.
Basil-Western Road (CR13) will be closed Monday, August 2, 2010 for approximately three (3) weeks for a profile improvement project. This closure will be on Basil-Western Road NW between house number 7122 and the intersection of Allen Road.

The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office is announcing that the following roads will be under construction during the month of July.
• Wagram Road (TR223) between SR204 and the Fairfield/Licking County border
• Harmon Road (TR221) between Crawford Road and SR204
• West Columbus Street between Diley Road and SR256
• Basil-Western Road (CR13) between Hill Road and Pickerington Road
• Winchester Road (CR23) between Pickerington Road and US33
Resurfacing of these roads will begin July 6, 2010 and continue throughout the next four (4) weeks. Local traffic will be maintained; however, the public should expect delays.
Funding for this resurfacing project was made possible by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC). MORPC allocated a portion of their stimulus funds from ARRA (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) to local government agencies within their planning area. The Fairfield County Engineer’s Office was allocated approximately $151,000 in funds and an additional $91,000 through an agreement with the Village of Lithopolis. Road segments for this 2010 ARRA resurfacing project will also help the City of Pickerington, Violet Township, and the Village of Carroll by a contract totaling over $590,000.
