LEGAL NOTICE

ADVERTISEMENT TO BIDDERS

            Sealed proposals will be received at the Office of the Fairfield County Engineer, 3026 West Fair Avenue, Lancaster, Ohio  43130, until 11:00 a.m. local time on Friday, February 26, 2010, for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project known as the FAI-CR9/13/23/TR221/223 ARRA Resurfacing Project, and at said time and place, publicly opened and read aloud.

            Contract documents, bid sheets, plans, and specifications can be obtained at said office for a non-refundable fee of $10.00 for a full-sized set.

            Each bidder must be an ODOT pre-qualified contractor to be eligible to submit bids for this Project.

            Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.  Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

            Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.  Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.  All construction operations must be completed within four (4) consecutive weeks.  The Owner intends and requires that this project may not commence prior to June 7, 2010 and must be completed no later than August 27, 2010.

            Bidders must comply with the Federal Prevailing Wage Rates on this Public Improvement in Fairfield County, Ohio.

            Funding for this Contract has been provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), and is subject to the reporting and operational requirements of ARRA.

            The Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
